Texas Rangers kick off their 2021 season Thursday April 1st @ the Royals. Cardboard is out and HUMANS are in at Globe Life Field starting April 5th against the Blue Jays. New additions to the squad Khris Davis and David Dahl ready to gel with crowd favorites like Joey Gallo and Isiah Kiner-Falefa. Rangers skipper Chris Woodward said that it's not a certainty Rougned Odor will be on the opening day roster. It also won't be easy getting used to seeing Elvis Andrus in an Athletics uniform after 12 seasons with the Rangers.
Dallas Mavericks in a bit of a funk losing their last two and slipping to 8th in the West at 23-21 with the Grizzlies and the Pelicans hot on their tails. Newly acquired veteran guard JJ Redick looks to add offense and leadership to young guards, similar role that JJ Barea had before departing to play overseas. The Unicorn, Kristaps Porzingis tweeted on March 28th, "Marathon, not a sprint." This likely in response to the criticism the Mavs faced sitting Luka against the Pacers and then both Luka and KP against the Pelicans.
FC Dallas opens their season on April 17th against the Colorado Rapids from Toyota Stadium. FCD will see a very familiar face on the other sideline as Michael Barrios makes his debut against his former mates after being traded in January. Barrios ranks fifth in franchise history with 179 regular season appearances.
Dallas Cowboys version of March Madness not as exciting as the NCAA tournament but they've added some depth at FS but lost Chidobe Awuzie to the Bengals, Tyrone Crawford to retirement, Blake Bell to the Chiefs and Xavier Woods to the Vikings possibly just to name a few. Cowboys OL starters La'el Collins and Tyron Smith appear to be right on track for the start of the season after their season-ending surgeries last year. That's good news and of course the Dak contract is promising. New DC Dan Quinn has his work cut out for him. The Cowboys have 10 picks in the upcoming draft including the 10th overall.

Dallas Stars are 11-12-9 after a 4-1 loss to the Florida Panthers on Sunday night. They've been riddled with injuries to Ben Bishop and Tyler Seguin, just to name a few, and struggled mightily in overtime games. Stars are 25th in the league and 7th in the Central Division. There's still time to turn it around, but they'll need some unlikely heroes, much like last season's run, to muster up enough offense to compete.
