Ooof, pitching was no bueno. Josh Sborz the lone bright spot on the mound pitching 1.1 innings in relief, striking out two and not giving up a run.
Everyone got a hit for the Rangers except Leody Taveras who whiffed 4 times in 5 AB’s. Despite 15 hits, the Rangers left 13 runners on base and struck out 16 times.
The Royals will turn to a familiar face for the Rangers, lefty Mike Minor, who will face Texas right hander Kohei Arihara on Saturday. The Rangers get a day to lick their wounds and try to shut down those hot Royals bats.
